Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision enables practitioners to develop their skills and knowledge by actively reflecting on their everyday practice. It enables them to offload, find solutions to any difficulties and provides them with a safe space to talk about their work, something which is often not prioritised due to time constraints.
Clinical supervision has a number of potential benefits for staff, and the organisation supporting their practice. Evidence suggests that reflective clinical supervision helps staff to feel supported and valued, to develop personally and professionally, increase skills and confidence, experience less stress and reduces the risk of burnout and compassion fatigue. Providing staff with time to reflect and the opportunity to process information which could impact upon their own emotional well being and mental health can only be beneficial.
We offer clinical supervision to those who work with vulnerable children, adults and families and listen to or witness distressing or upsetting information as part of their work. This could be school staff, those dealing with safeguarding referrals, those working with the law, criminal justice system and employees of organisations who are in a caring, counselling, mentoring or healthcare role.
Organisations have different needs, regular supervision is available as well as one off consultations
